prompt financial help scam |
Many users has received phone calls from a number identified as +1 833-652-7555, claiming to be from "Prompt Financial Help." They are targeting individuals with enticing offers of debt consolidation.
The automated message
Many users have reported receiving calls from +1 833-652-7555, supposedly from Prompt Financial Help. The automated message states, "This message is brought to you by Prompt Financial Help. Our records indicate you have a pending offer which is about to expire from one of our partners of up to $100,000 debt consolidation. To speak with a member of our team, please press two, and to be placed on our do not call list and decline all further offers, please press nine. Alternatively, you can call us at 8365-2755 topped out. You."
This message may sound enticing, especially if you are struggling with debt or financial issues. However, it's crucial to recognize the red flags:
- Unsolicited Calls: Legitimate financial institutions do not initiate contact with potential customers through unsolicited phone calls. They typically require individuals to initiate contact through their official channels.
- High-Pressure Tactics: Scammers often use high-pressure tactics to make you act quickly without thinking. In this case, they claim that the offer is about to expire, creating a sense of urgency.
- Request for Personal Information: If you press '2' to speak with a team member, scammers will likely ask for personal and financial information, which can be used for identity theft or fraudulent activities.
- Relentless Calls: Some users have reported receiving these scam calls multiple times a day, which is a clear sign of a scam.
I know this is a scam stop calling me
ReplyDeleteTold you to stop. You didn't. Contacting FTC.
ReplyDeleteI have received three (maybe four) such calls over the past three weeks, all from different numbers, but with the same callback number 833-652-7555. VM, clearly a recorded message, Dan from Prompt Financial Help, saying I qualify for a $100,000 debt consolidation loan. Definitely a scam.
ReplyDeleteWish I could figure out how to get them to stop calling. Today I'm trying a new tactic since asking them to stop didn't work. I call them back and ask for their information like name of company (which has been swift Financial and prompt financial), and the fun one the business location. At this they hang up, so I call back. Did it 5 times today. They call again. I will do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI've been receiving these calls for a couple months now from lots of different numbers. The call always starts with, "Hello, this is Dan from Prompt Financial Help." Usually the connection is bad, and the message is a bit garbled up. There is an offer code in the message that is supposedly good for 48 hours. I assume it is always the same offer code since this is a recorded message, but I have never confirmed that.
ReplyDeleteYou can get a google phone number that actually disguises your number when you call them. I call them 20 times a day and talk filthy too them. They hang up, I call back. If we could get 100 people harassing them back it’d be great
ReplyDeleteHow do you fix things if you were dumb and didn't look at this first
ReplyDeleteWe have had the same call over and over! how do you get them to stop
